To mark international Open Access Week 2012, the Open Access Working Group within the Alliance of the German Science Organisations' priority initiative "Digital Information" has published a brochure entitled "Open-Access-Strategien für wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen - Bausteine und Beispiele" (Open Access Strategies for Scientific Institutions - Elements and Examples). The publication aims to provide an overview of practical measures for the promotion of OA. In short articles by authors from universities, research institutions and research funders, the brochure describes elements of a comprehensive OA strategy and possible combinations of measures that aim to support scholars and scientists in making their research findings freely available worldwide.
