Informationsplattform Open Access: About
 Home » About

Project description

Open Access (OA) is an umbrella term covering a number of implementation concepts which, in the words of the Berlin Declaration , support "open access to knowledge in the sciences and humanities". The open-access.net platform provides comprehensive information on OA and offers practical implementation advice. The first round of the project, which has already been completed, was devoted to building the platform. The main goals of the current second round are to establish a network of OA promoters as a lobby for OA on the science policy level and to internationalise the open-access.net platform.

All interested parties are welcome to use open-access.net both as a source of information and as a forum for discussion and sharing experiences.

Mentors

To ensure that its offerings remain attractive in the long term, open-access.net needs the support of as many partners as possible. Therefore, when compiling information, we collaborate with a large number of external experts. Some of them have agreed to act as mentors for individual web pages or sections. They look after the content of the pages in question and update it regularly in collaboration with our editorial staff.
