German Research Foundation invites applications for project funding

The German Research Foundation (DFG) is inviting applications for project funding within the framework of its programmes "Repositories - Expansion and Development of Networked Information Services for Science" and "Virtual Research Environments. Infrastructure and Demonstration Projects". The closing dates for applications are 30 April and 31 May 2009 respectively.

The aim of the "Repositories - Expansion and Development of Networked Information Services for Science“ programme is to promote the further expansion of an infrastructure for open-access publications by accelerating the expansion of a system of networked repositories whose architecture supports integration into the international science environment and ensures the long-term archiving of electronic documents. In this way, the DFG is continuing its strategy of supporting open access to publicly funded research.
