Open Access Interview with Johannes Fournier, German Research Foundation (DFG)

 

Continuing his series of Open Access Interviews, Richard Poynder spoke to Johannes Fournier of the DFG on the work of the Global Research Council and its aspirations with regard to Open Access.

The Global Research Council (GRC) is a virtual organization comprising the heads of science and engineering funding agencies from around the world. The next annual summit of the GRC will take place in Berlin from 27 to 29 May 2013. It aims "to discuss an action plan for the implementation of Open Access as the main paradigm of scientific communication in the following years, as well as to endorse a statement of principles of research integrity."
