SAVE THE DATE – 7 November 2017

Under the motto “Licence Details and Rights Documentation in Dialogue – Sustainable Organisation of Data Flows,” the German National Library is hosting  an information event in Frankfurt on 7 November 2017 on the subject of licence details and legal notices relating to digital objects.
The aim of the event is to comprehensively promote licence details and legal notices relating to the reuse of digital content. For the production, dissemination, and exchange of openly and freely accessible digital data and works in culture, science, and education, it is essential that bibliographic metadata include legally sound, transparent, standardised, and machine-readable licence details.
In addition to a general introduction to the topic, the event will focus on field reports and on exchanging ideas with information providers – for example publishers, libraries, repositories, museums, and archives.
