At Home But Open:Looking back on the Digital Open Access Days 2020 in Bielefeld

First online hosting of the conference was a complete success

The Open Access Tage in Bielefeld have made history. Due to Corona, this year's conference took place completely online for the first time. This did not detract from the interest in the event, which was held under the motto "Open Access 2020 - Ways, Actors, Effects". From 15 to 17 September, around 400 participants discussed the role of scholars as Open Access actors and the significance of Open Access for Open Science. Regional and national strategies as well as Open Access for different types of higher education institutions and educational establishments were further central topics.

The next Open Access Tage will take place in Bern from 27 to 29 September 2021. Despite the successful online premiere, we hope to be able to discuss current topics relating to Open Access on site again!
