Online Seminar: "Funding Requirements for Open Access - What Do I Need to Keep in Mind?"

On 15 April, the Open Access Talk series of the open-access.network project will focus on the Open Access requirements of research funding organisations.

In the Open Access Talk "Funding Requirements for Open Access - What Do I Need to Keep in Mind?", Jessika Rücknagel (open-access.network project) will talk about the requirements set by research funders regarding Open Access. The event will take place on 15 April 2021 from 14:00 to 15:00.

Many research funding bodies such as the BMBF or the EU Commission require that publications from funded projects be published in open access. This seminar will give you an overview of the requirements imposed by research funding bodies. It will also look at how you, as an author, can meet these requirements. The foci will be on funding options for an OA publication and on secondary publication. As a finak step, you will receive suggestions on where you can find support with regards to the publishing process. Key questions of the lecture are:

  • What are Open Access requirements imposed by major funding bodies?
  • How can Open Access requirements be met?
  • What funding opportunities are there? And who offers support/advice?

Academics, students and all interested parties are invited. The lecture will be held in German. Registration is not required. The room will be opened shortly before the start of the event. You can participate via the following link: https://meet.gwdg.de/b/jes-dwc-6zq
