The DOAJ reaches its funding target

The funding of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is assured. Eight consortia and 175 institutions and organisations from 18 different countries have committed financial support to DOAJ to cover its operational costs as outlined in its application to the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services (SCOSS). Should extra funding be granted, DOAJ will also be able to implement a new work package. The DOAJ indexes and provides access to high-quality, peer-reviewed, open access journals. It currently contains over 13,000 journals.
