Open Access Staff Weeks give library staff the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at other institutions. Participants have the opportunity to learn about best practices in the implementation of OA - for example, in the design of publication funds or the realilsation of OA in different organisational units. The event format offers a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience and aims to strengthen collaboration between institutions.
A total of five Open Access Staff Weeks took place at various institutions within the open-access.network project. Further Open Access Staff Weeks are being planned. If you have any questions about this format, please send an email to open-access.network(at)uni-konstanz.de.
Save the Date: Open Access Staff Week in Karlsruhe
From 02 to 04 July 2024, the KIT Library at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) will host the next Open Access Staff Week by providing an insight into current Open Access activities on site. Staff from other libraries will have the opportunity to learn about best practices as well as current challenges in the implementation of Open Access - e.g. with regard to scientific publication services. The event format offers a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience and aims to strengthen co-operation between institutions.
Please note that the event is limited to 10 people and active participation is encouraged. The event language is German. There is no participation fee. The programme and application form will be available here shortly.
Open Access Staff Week Braunschweig
From 05 to 07 November 2022, the University Library Braunschweig gave an insight into its current Open Access activities. The Open Access Staff Week took place over three days on site in Braunschweig.
Open Access Staff Week Konstanz
From 16 to 18 November 2022, the Communication, Information, Media Centre (KIM) of the University of Konstanz gave an insight into its current Open Access activities. The Open Access Staff Week took place over three days on campus in Konstanz and was limited to 10 people.
Open Access Staff Week Dresden
From 29 to 31 August 2022, the Saxon State Library - Dresden State and University Library (SLUB) and the Dresden University of Applied Sciences (HTW) provided an insight into their current Open Access activities. The Open Access Staff Week took place over three days on site in Dresden.
